The Idaho Falls Youth Arts Centre announces our Romp in the Swamp!
In conjunction with our upcoming performance of Shrek The Musical, IFYAC invites you to meet your favorite storybook characters from the greatest story never told! Come enjoy dinner and play games with your favorite storybook characters in Shrek's swamp. Get your photo with Shrek and his friends. There will be games, music, and a raffle with some fantastic prizes.
$8 per person (ticket holders will also receive a $5 discount on their tickets to Shrek the Musical)

Adapted from a hit animated film, Shrek The Musical follows an irreverent but lovable ogre and his wisecracking donkey as they embark on a quest to rescue a feisty princess from a fire breathing dragon. With stellar performances, breathtaking costumes, beautiful sets, and fun ensemble dance numbers, you’ve got a singing and dancing extravaganza, perfect for an evening of great family fun.
Shrek The Musical brings the beloved characters you know from the film to life on their way to discovering the big bright beautiful world at the end of this fabulously fresh storybook journey. All of the characters are on the same journey ... Shrek's journey … to find acceptance, to find a friend, to find home, to find love. This jubilant musical will surely make you believe in the power of love and the meaning of inner beauty.
For almost 20 years, the Idaho Falls Arts Centre has been providing quality productions in this community. Director Sandi Herrin is excited to “bring this dynamic show with incredible sets and costumes to the stage this year.” She shared that the “precision and synchronicity in this year’s ensemble makes for a high energy experience for the cast and the audience alike.” Bryan Atkins will be featured as the famous embittered ogre and will be joined on stage by his real-life love interest, Dana Atkins, as the beautiful yet temperamental Princess Fiona. The unlikely hero will be surrounded by friends along his life changing journey including his trusty steed, Donkey, played by Kenny McMurphy, a diminutive power-hungry Lord Farquaad, played by Quinten Isenberg, and a love-sick Dragon, played by Keishianna Peterson. And of course, the adventure wouldn’t be complete without the gang of fairytale misfits, including a cookie with an attitude, a fairy godmother, the wicked witch, and many more.
Shrek The Musical runs November 16th, 17th, 19th, and 20th at 7:30 p.m. the Civic Auditorium, with a special matinee performance on Saturday, November 17th.
